Although I’ve not been up on the London Eye for many years, I went on it a few times in the months just after it opened and was captivated by the views of London. Surprisingly, for someone who doesn’t like heights, I was totally fine in the Eye, probably because there’s no wobbliness at all, the motion is very slow and even, and with the capsules completely closed, there’s no breeze to remind you that you’re up in the sky!
Like many city dwellers, I have idle thoughts about a life in the country, mostly driven by the dream of a bigger house with much more land in which we can garden to our hearts content, perhaps an outbuilding or two for Pete’s dream brewery and my dream pottery studio… but in the end, I always come back to the fact that my life right now is right here in London!

I remember my first ride on this giant Ferris wheel about a year after it opened. The views were fantastic. i am sure there are quite a few new additions to the London panorama that you see from it now!
Did you know that the the London Eye receives more visitors per year than the Taj Mahal and the Great Pyramids of Giza!
I read this, and it’s been repeated in many articles across the internet, it dates to several years ago. I can’t find any reliable source to help me establish whether it’s true or not!!

The London Eye is indeed one of the icons of London.I have never been to London, but feel strangely connected owing to my penchant for the old English classics. I however have been on the Singapore Flyer which is said to have been modeled on the London Eye.
