“Sometimes I think a man could wander across the disc all his life and not see everything there is to see,“ said Twoflower. “And now it seems there are lots of other worlds as well. When I think I might die without seeing a hundredth of all there is to see it makes me feel,“ he paused, then added, “well, humble, I suppose. And very angry, of course.“ ~ Terry Pratchett
This quote is from Pratchett’s ‘The Color of Magic’, the first novel in his Discworld series.
As far as we know so far, we only have this one world of ours to wander, and even then, a lifetime is not enough to see a hundredth of all there is to see! That does make me feel humble, but it also inspires and motivates me to see and experience as much as I can and to make the most of the single lifetime that I have to do it.
