Yep, some authors speak to me again and again; Ray Bradbury is one such writer; I love his outlook on the world!
We live in a wonderful world β even in our own back gardens there is so much to see and to wonder at β if we expand that to our town, our country, our region, the whole damn worldβ¦ there are more wonders to be discovered than any one person could appreciate in an entire lifetime. I love Bradbury’s entreaty to stuff our eyes full of these wonders!
This cute little critter was watching me as I watched him, on a trip to the Galapagos Islands β a place so full of wonders that I was in a permanent state of discovery and delight!

I totally agree. Nature is full of wonder, wherever you look, even in your back garden. Galapagos is so full of the wonders of the world, unspoilt, almost. Looking forward to going there again π
Yes, we really love taking wildlife and landscape holidays, in between some city and culture ones!
You are so right, this critter is a small wonder. Just look at its colors, amazing what nature can create! And how lovely that we can travel and admire its manifestations. π
Yes I loved that splash of colour, and I sat watching them for as long as I could! Such beautiful creatures all around the world.
I agree. We should all have a sense of wonder. And that critter is soo beautiful!
Thank you, Baia!
This is such a great quote and agree 110%. Go and see the world and enjoy it
A motto to live by…
This is a great motto to live your life by. I feel like leaving right now.
It is, isn’t it? Glad you found it inspiring too.
So true. Nothing made in factories can even come close! The critter is so cute and colourful! Galapagos is on our bucketlist!
I agree, the beauty found in nature is astonishing!
What a great reminder to make the most of every day. It’s exactly the motivation I need this Sunday to get out of my PJs.
Ha, glad you found it inspiring, though I do love the occasional pyjama day!
I think that the Moment we stop to wonder is the Moment we truly stop to live. You’ve Chosen a great Quote and the lizard is really cute π
Yes, exactly! And thanks, I’m glad you like the quote and photo combo!
He really is cute! I have the Galapagos on my bucket list. Maybe one day……
It’s a great place to visit for wildlife lovers.
I love the “stuff your eyes with wonders” part- for me that’s what travel is all about- taking it all in!
Yes, it’s that excitement of drinking it all in!
I am in Dubrovnik this week and you know that moment, you sometimes visit a place and think, wow, I am so lucky to be here. That is what travel is for me so this sums it up perfectly
I know exactly what you mean Anne, glad this quote is resonating with you!
100% agree with that quote and i actually live by it. Who knows whats gonna happen tomorrow. Live for TODAY π
Yep, I don’t want to put off my dreams, I want to go after them every day!
It’s so true how much world exists right in front of us every day. I love travel, but even if I had to give it up, I know the search for new and wonderful things would continue where ever I am.
For sure, and there is definitely wonder to be found in my own back yard, and not just because I live in London. Was exclaiming today over the beautify of some of the flowers in our back garden!
I love this quote. A true reminder to be present..to see the beauty within and around us and simply appreciate life! Seize the moment and live life TODAY!!
Yes, very much so!
That’s one of my most favorite quotes. It inspires action! It’s a perfect quote to accompany a Galapagos photo, a truly bucket list trip!
Thank you, hope you make it to the Galapagos soon!
I love this sentiment. It’s especially meaningful to me right now because I am just returning from a summer of travels and looking ahead to multiple months without being able to leave my area. I need to remind myself to explore my own home more before I start feeling mopey π
Aah wonderful, your summer sounds like it was full of wonder. But yes, you will find joys at home too!
So true! Life is too short to not live it to the fullest.
Absolutely!
Even while travelling people need to open their eyes. Will never forget laying on the ground photographing an alligator with a telephoto lens. Women walked by and complains they haven’t seen an alligator. Not one of them asked me what I was doing or stopped to see what I might be photographing.
Yeah people are really odd aren’t they? I’ve been on safaris where we’re experiencing a truly special and rare sighting, and someone’s there moaning about it being better in a zoo!
So true! Love it. It speaks so much to me because I’m about to embark on my first round the world trip. I’m so excited to have my eyes more open to the world, new cultures, customs, foods, and so much more. π Glad you’re experiencing that!
Oh magical, wishing you all the best for your round the world trip!
Definitely a guiding principle to live your life by I would think.
Yes!
Wow, great quote. Really makes you think.
Thanks
Nature sure is full of wonder. And how cool that you got to go to the Galapagos!
Nature is amazing, I loved Galapagos!
Love the critter AND the quote π Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
What a great quote! I’d never heard of Ray Bradbury, but I like the way he thinks! And aren’t the Galapagos amazing?? I went there a few years ago and had such a great time!
I didn’t realize Mr. Fahrenheit 451 had feelings on travel, but this is a great quote. The Galapagos are one of those “must visit before we die” things – and what a precious little reminder of your time there! Cute lizard, great quote. Thanks for sharing!
