Travel Quote Tuesday | Ray Bradbury (Again)

Yep, some authors speak to me again and again; Ray Bradbury is one such writer; I love his outlook on the world!

We live in a wonderful world – even in our own back gardens there is so much to see and to wonder at – if we expand that to our town, our country, our region, the whole damn world… there are more wonders to be discovered than any one person could appreciate in an entire lifetime. I love Bradbury’s entreaty to stuff our eyes full of these wonders!

(c) Kavita Favelle - Ray Bradbury - Galapagos

This cute little critter was watching me as I watched him, on a trip to the Galapagos Islands – a place so full of wonders that I was in a permanent state of discovery and delight!

I totally agree. Nature is full of wonder, wherever you look, even in your back garden. Galapagos is so full of the wonders of the world, unspoilt, almost. Looking forward to going there again πŸ™‚

Yes, we really love taking wildlife and landscape holidays, in between some city and culture ones!

You are so right, this critter is a small wonder. Just look at its colors, amazing what nature can create! And how lovely that we can travel and admire its manifestations. πŸ™‚

Yes I loved that splash of colour, and I sat watching them for as long as I could! Such beautiful creatures all around the world.

What a great reminder to make the most of every day. It’s exactly the motivation I need this Sunday to get out of my PJs.

I think that the Moment we stop to wonder is the Moment we truly stop to live. You’ve Chosen a great Quote and the lizard is really cute πŸ™‚

I am in Dubrovnik this week and you know that moment, you sometimes visit a place and think, wow, I am so lucky to be here. That is what travel is for me so this sums it up perfectly

It’s so true how much world exists right in front of us every day. I love travel, but even if I had to give it up, I know the search for new and wonderful things would continue where ever I am.

For sure, and there is definitely wonder to be found in my own back yard, and not just because I live in London. Was exclaiming today over the beautify of some of the flowers in our back garden!

I love this sentiment. It’s especially meaningful to me right now because I am just returning from a summer of travels and looking ahead to multiple months without being able to leave my area. I need to remind myself to explore my own home more before I start feeling mopey πŸ™‚

Even while travelling people need to open their eyes. Will never forget laying on the ground photographing an alligator with a telephoto lens. Women walked by and complains they haven’t seen an alligator. Not one of them asked me what I was doing or stopped to see what I might be photographing.

Yeah people are really odd aren’t they? I’ve been on safaris where we’re experiencing a truly special and rare sighting, and someone’s there moaning about it being better in a zoo!

So true! Love it. It speaks so much to me because I’m about to embark on my first round the world trip. I’m so excited to have my eyes more open to the world, new cultures, customs, foods, and so much more. πŸ™‚ Glad you’re experiencing that!

What a great quote! I’d never heard of Ray Bradbury, but I like the way he thinks! And aren’t the Galapagos amazing?? I went there a few years ago and had such a great time!

I didn’t realize Mr. Fahrenheit 451 had feelings on travel, but this is a great quote. The Galapagos are one of those “must visit before we die” things – and what a precious little reminder of your time there! Cute lizard, great quote. Thanks for sharing!
