I wrote recently about what it means to me to travel with my husband Pete.
As long as I’m in his company I’m happier, stronger when facing whatever the world throws at me and in the best mindset to enjoy everything we see and do and experience. It’s like bringing the essence of home along on the journey, because, trite though it may be, home is where the heart is… (Hey! It is Valentine’s day!)
Another from Iceland, it really is the most photogenic of places!
This is the Nýibær turf house in Hólar. Built in 1860, it is a typical medium-sized turf house in the North-Icelandic style, distinguished by forward-facing gables along the front and rear buildings arranged at right angles.

I remember seeing this place!
Happy Valentine Day to you two love birds 🙂
Aw, this is sweet! I definitely feel more comfortable travelling with my husband – I feel much more at home 🙂
How wonderful that you share such experiences together with such joy. When my husband and I travel we fight like cats and dogs, lol! Gorgeous image. I’m hoping to travel to Iceland sometime in the near future now that they do flights from Shetland! Well, via Aberdeen, but we get the islander discount there now. 🙂
Yes, I’m lucky that we’re such compatible travellers, for sure. Not everyone is with their partner, sorry to year you and your husband are not on the same wavelength when it comes to travelling! Do you think he’ll go with you to Iceland or will you head off on a solo adventure?
I love Iceland. And that is really a heart-touching quote. Thank you for this.
Thanks Michelle, glad you like it.

And to you both too!
I love this quote! It’s almost similar to another quote I love: “Happiness is best when shared.”
Yes, that’s another wonderful quote on the sentiment!
