Win 77 packets of Asda Chosen By You Jaffa Cakes! (Closed)

The surprise winner of my recent Jaffa Cake Taste Test, in which a panel of tasters helped me rate 12 brands of jaffa cakes, was Asda Chosen By You Jaffa Cakes.

Yep, a 65 pence packet blew all the others out of the water, including one brand that was virtually double the price!

In response to my blog post, Asda ran a fun competition inviting readers to win their height in jaffa cakes! If you’re the same height as the member of Asda staff in the photograph, that’s 9 boxes of jaffa cakes, maybe one or two more if you’re really tall.

But here on Kavey Eats, we’re offering you the chance to win 77 packets – yes, seventy-seven!

That’s £50 worth of gloriously delicious jaffa cakes with a soft tasty sponge, a generous layer of jammy orange jelly that tastes of real fruit and a thick, glossy coat of dark chocolate.

924 of the little darlings!

And it’s up to you whether you keep them all to yourself or share them with your friends, family and work colleagues!

    I LOVE Jaffa cakes!!!!!
I would love to win 77 packs!

  2. David PAtrick

I was going to jump in with Lime or Lemon, but as they have already gone, how about a nice sharp Apple flavoured jaffa cake?

  3. Josh

    oh I didn’t answer the question…
I think maybe a citrus melody – bringing in lime and lemon and others too

  4. Bob

I just had to enter this one…
Tangerine & Ginger could be interesting!

  5. Colin Richardson

I would like to try raspberry jaffa cakes

  6. Baron Orm

I think strawberry would work, the type of flavour that you get in the Roses strawberry creme chocolate – I’ve always enjoyed the strawberry and orange creme chocolates the most so I think it would work.

Failing that how about crreme egg-style fondant filling? 🙂

  7. Jane Willis

I’m going to go against the flow and suggest chilli. Chocolate and chilli is sucha popular combination, and chilli jelly such a popular condiment, that I’m quite surprised it hasn’t already been done.

Morning, i live on J/C, Strawberry, taste of summer, good luck all, fingers x

  9. Molly Schaffer

I think strawberry or raspberry would be nice in a Jaffa Cake 🙂

  10. Nancy Bradford

I think raspberry and peanut butter would be an amazing jaffa combination.

  11. Suzanne Hill

Turkish delight heavens no yuk!! Lime or apple sounds delicious as I think it needs a sharp flavour to counteract the sweetness

  12. Lynne OConnor

I’ve tried raspberry and cherry flavours but would love to try blackcurrant.

  13. Simon

I think Strawberry might work well. I`m sure a company already brought out one with a differant flavour? (lemon maybe?)

  14. Tamara Payne

half strawberry half ice cream flavour mmmmmm 🙂

  15. Chris

I’ve entered via Twitter, but had to add my 2p worth regarding flavours. Blackcurrant *feels* like it should work really well.

  16. Emily Hutchinson

I think black cherry would be nice, a bit like a black forest gateaux!

  17. Leila

Cherry, all the way! Preferable the artificial, bright red stuff in American cherry pies 🙂

  18. Dee Dmonte

I’ve always had a problem with Jaffa cakes, once I pop I can’t stop! lol

  19. laura jones

raspberry or strawberry or how about that good old forest fruits?

  20. Jacqui M

It’s got to be cherry…agree with Emily on the black forest gateau comment 🙂

  21. Beaker

Jammy Dodgers have gone with two new flavours but they’re just not Jammy Dodgers any more – keep jaffa cakes orange!

  22. Ruthy @ Minibreak Mummy

Cherry was my first thought. But a couple of other people have already suggested that so I’ll go for damson.

Great competition. If I win, I’ll probably be handing out jaffa cakes in the library where I work cos there is no way I could eat that many myself 😉

  23. Leanne

Feijoa flavoured, would love some good Jaffa cakes over here in NZ.

  24. Kate HR

Blackberry gets my vote – or even peanut butter – this is making me reeeeeeaaaallllly hungry now!

  25. Natasha

A while back there was a brief run of Vimto flavoured Jammie Dodgers, alas, sadly now gone. They were pretty amazing, but I would give my right arm for a Vimto Jaffa Cake! YUM!

  26. John Arnold

There’s not enough pineapple in the world. I vote for Pinapple Cakes. They could sell them upside down.

  27. Ursula Bingham

I have followed you and tweeted as @Hestia14

  28. clare

I think strawberry would be nice and sweet, but how about a different fruity taste like passion fruit or papaya to go for a tropical jaffa cake!?
