I love things that I can spread over bread or crackers, or in which I can dunk crudites or crisps. Here’s a selection of quick and tasty recipes that make a great addition to your picnic hamper or garden party table.

Courgette, Yoghurt & Mint Dip is fresh, light and a great way to use homegrown courgettes.
Ham Pate is a great recipe for using up leftover ham and easy to make.
Hot Smoked Salmon Paté is a super quick no-cook recipe combining just three ingredients.
Houmous with Peanut Butter replaces the classic tahini (sesame paste) with peanut butter instead.

Scandinavian Roasted Carrot Paté is super bright in colour, and in flavour too.
Smoke Garlic Mushroom Paté is full of flavour and will be a hit with vegans, veggies and omnivores alike.
Smoked Mackerel & Wasabi Paté is another three ingredient recipe with a huge punch of flavour.

I made the mtabbal. It was yummy. I combine the stove top version with baking. If I make it again I may use slightly less lemon. Thanks for sharing.
